A new dimension in the brand’s design language: Febal Casa introduces Pet Friendly upholstery fabrics for those who share their living room with a companion animal
San Marino, 29 October 2026 – The contemporary home is an increasingly open, flexible and shared space, evolving alongside the habits and relationships of the people who live in it. One of the changes transforming the way we live is the growing presence of companion animals, now an integral part of everyday home life.
There is always a moment in the day when life slows down. It is sofa time. And for anyone who lives with a four-legged friend, it is also the moment when they ask to climb up beside us. For years, we have believed we had to choose: either a designer sofa or one we could actually live on.
Febal Casa’s Pet Friendly offering brings these two needs together. Oasis and Daytona are two fabrics for the sofas featured in the SOFAS catalogue, across the Atelier and Essential collections. Sofas become surfaces that combine quality and aesthetics with comfort and performance, supporting a freer, more natural way of living together thanks to their resistance, antibacterial properties and stain resistance.
“With this campaign, Febal Casa broadens its perspective on home living and embraces new needs and lifestyles, recognising pet-owning households as an increasingly important audience. We want to strengthen the brand’s ability to interpret changes in society and translate them into proposals that create value for people, without ever compromising on design, quality or aesthetics. Today, the home is an increasingly personal and shared experience, and understanding how it evolves means building a stronger, more relevant relationship with our audience,” says Erika D’Amico, Brand & Communications Director at Colombini Group.
The fabrics
Made from high-performance microfibre, Daytona and Oasis offer excellent resistance to wear, with more than 200,000 abrasion cycles for Daytona and 180,000 for Oasis. They also provide excellent resistance to pilling and good colour fastness to light, helping preserve the beauty of the upholstery over time.
Both fabrics are certified to OEKO-TEX Standard 100 and are PFC-free, reflecting the care taken in selecting materials. Daytona is also certified vegan by V-Label. Thanks to Safefront technology, the fabrics are protected against viruses and bacteria, reducing viral activity by more than 91% after two hours of continuous contact. Together with their ease of cleaning – small stains from wine, coffee and food can be easily treated with water – these features help make everyday life simpler and more enjoyable, including when pets are part of the family.
Their high technical performance sits harmoniously alongside aesthetic refinement, without compromising on texture, colour or comfort. This combination enhances the design of Febal Casa upholstered furniture, created to be enjoyed naturally every day.
The communication campaign
The Pet Friendly communication campaign celebrates the connection between design, comfort and everyday life, presenting a new way of sharing domestic spaces with companion animals. Running across the brand’s social media channels and website, with a dedicated landing page, the campaign stands out for its entirely AI-generated creative production, a contemporary interpretation of Febal Casa’s vision. Strategy and creative direction are by TWENTY8 Studios.
The project was unveiled at an exclusive event at the Febal Casa Brera flagship store in Milan, organised in collaboration with SAMY, a global social-first agency specialising in social media and digital communications. SAMY oversaw the influencer marketing strategy and coordinated the brand partners involved in the initiative. Pawtrait Milano, a photography brand, added to the experience by creating portraits of guests and their four-legged friends. United Pets, a brand specialising in designer accessories for pets, provided a selection of gifts, including the Pasta al Dente gift. Edgard & Cooper, a premium pet food brand, also took part, presenting a selection of its products.
